It seems suddenly that a lot of people have become disillusioned with the system and are looking outside the conventional boxes for answers. That has to be a positive thing, a real step in the right direction, and we should be a part of the change.

Miluju tě.Monkey's Maxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02682860045391115600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11829619.post-1117941476831310982005-06-05T05:17:00.000+02:002005-06-05T05:17:00.000+02:00Have you checked out the Libertarian websites? There are some scary people out there.

I have been investigating Libertarian's for a while (because I have been dating one for a year now, grin)...at first, I was very skeptical, because I kept finding the nuts...but now, after some time, and many very loud "discussions" I have had no choice but to admit, they are a hell of a lot more appealing than the Replicans or Democrats (for me), and the ideas driving the party are at the least, interesting, and many times, damn good.

Jeremy was invited and attended a BBQ thrown here by the Libertarian Presidential Candidate last fall. He saw what I didn't see for a while... the normal, intelligent adults that are now embracing the party. His family is Republican, and definately did not approve. When his father, who is a schmuck on a good day, started insulting the Libertarian party (and Jeremy's intelligence), I have to admit that helped me see the light and not dismiss them any longer.

I am sticking with not signing up with any particular party, but the Libertarians definately have my ear. And, I really hope they take off, we've been stuck with Elephants and Asses long enough!

-stephyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11829619.post-1117580118492235692005-06-01T00:55:00.000+02:002005-06-01T00:55:00.000+02:00Thanks, Anon. You're pretty sweet yourself.

DD, it's funny you should say that because although I have been neither a Republican nor a Democrat for quite a long time, it is hard not to think of myself as liberal. Hmm, more to mull over.Monkey's Maxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02682860045391115600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11829619.post-1117577060456081312005-06-01T00:04:00.000+02:002005-06-01T00:04:00.000+02:00The political establishment wants people to believ...The political establishment wants people to believe that they either have to be Republican or Democrat, right or left, or conservative or liberal. Once you reject that dichotomy, libertarianism is pretty easy and natural.Devastatin' Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14524585617238442008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11829619.post-1117522118370554192005-05-31T08:48:00.000+02:002005-05-31T08:48:00.000+02:00I don't think you had all that far to go (from whe...I don't think you had all that far to go (from where you stood) to see the light.
