Toilets

Something I observed in the America, but had forgotten about until just now, is that the toilets are very powerful. European toilets are weak and flush rather half-heartedly, while American toilets are bold, strong and purposeful. The difference puzzles me.

Think about the amount of water that is wasted to make sure all that American poo goes away as quickly as possible...

Aside from flushing poo...do you think that American women act differently in public bathrooms than European women?? Do they feel safer knowing that the flush will shock and awe? hahaha

TITS,

What Happens to Your Dirty Water?

What goes down the kitchen sink or gets flushed down the toilet affects the streams, rivers, and lakes of our community. When the wastewater leaves your home, it flows through your community's sanitary sewer system to a wastewater treatment facility. It is treated by a variety of processes to reduce or remove pollutants and returned back to the environment through streams or rivers.

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), water utilities treat nearly 34 billion gallons of water every day. Some homeowners treat their wastewater with an on-site septic system.

Sinister Steve,

Are you taking the piss?

Tits,

If I was you could possibly be drinking the treated version in a couple of days.

SS,
Do you know what "taking the piss" means, as opposed to "taking a piss"?
I can't tell if you are just taking the piss or not.

I have a friend in England who manages a sewage treatment plant. She loves to talk about shit.

"Taking the piss (out of)" is British for "making fun (of)". You take the piss out of someone or something, as in "Are you taking the piss out of me?" or "Stop taking the piss."

So now you can respond more appropriately to TM if you so desire. On the other hand, your initial answer to her question was a good piss-take.

My fantasy football draft is imminent, by the way. Thanks for all of your help.

I really wasnt pissing on, at, or to anyone. I was curious as to whether water is every really "wasted". If it recycled and put back into the environment there really isnt any waste.

My original posting was just a cut and paste of an article I found.

Also there is good episode of "King of the Hill" in which low flow toilets are mandated by law. Every time they go to the bathroom they end up having to flush 3 or 4 times to get the shit down. Thus defeating the purpose.

Yeah when I first moved back to Canada I was afraid of getting flushed.
my concern is what is with the women who piss all over the seat! huh? geezzzz can you please try to get better aim or at least cover the bowl with toilet paper...I tend to try the men's cause I must say the men's washroom is so much cleaner and not packed with high maintenance bitches who take up room only to fix hair number 58 and apply some lipstick while some people who drink way too many $2 drinks need to releive themselves.

If you think a mens restroom is cleaner you're nuts. When Im in a bar I hit everything on the terlet except the water in the bowl.
